Disciplined Agile has come up with a journey of Shu-Ha-Ri. Shu-Ha-Ri is a Japanese term, which shows a journey from a beginner to the master and depicts the progression of your learning. Shu represents the beginner level, where you learn the basics and you remain faithful to the form you learned with no deviations. In the next stage of Ha, once you are disciplined with the basics, you innovate or tailor your own ways of working. And in the last stage of Ri, you depart and transcend from the basics and establish your own rules, and become a master of the subject.
Disciplined Agile also follows the Shu-Ha-Ri learning pattern, where the 1st level is for Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM). The 2nd level is for Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) and you have the 3rd level – Master level for Disciplined Agile Coach (DAC) and Disciplined Agile Value Stream Consultant (DAVSC)
To attain the Master Level Certification in Disciplined Agile, you need to be atleast Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM). This is a mandatory requirement to attain the master level certification as per PMI®
